Khiva Fortress Tour Prices and What Is Not Included
What a Khiva fortress tour costs: prices per car for up to 3 people, what four people pay, a guide or none, and what is extra on the day: entrance tickets, lunch, tips, camels.
Khiva fortress tours are priced per car, not per person: one price covers a private car and driver for up to 3 people. The car days compared here run from US$85 for three fortresses to US$112 for five (checked November 2026), and Khiva Advanture’s Daytrip to Three Ancient Fortresses from Khiva is US$89 on promotion, usually US$99 for the car (checked November 2026). None of them includes the entrance tickets, and most leave out lunch and a guide.

What it comes to per person
The car price is split however you like. On Khiva Advanture’s day, the US$99 car we read for December, April and May came to US$49.50 each for two and US$33 each for three. A party of four needed two cars: US$198 on 11 May 2027, the date we read for four.
So a single traveller pays for the whole car, and the guided half day costs the same for one person as for two.
What you still pay on the day
Entrance tickets. We found no official price list for the fortress tickets, so the figures here are the tour companies’ own. Islambek Travel & Hotels’ fortress, camel and lake day puts them at 20,000 UZS (Uzbek som) a person at each fortress. Asli Travel’s three-fortress tour puts them at 1 to 2 US dollars a monument for each person. Two reviews of Khiva Advanture’s day, from April and July 2026, mention paying 20,000 som, and one from June 2026 suggests small notes for the tickets.
Lunch. Khiva Advanture’s day stops for a local lunch at Akchakul Lake if you want one, at your own cost. One review from October 2026 warns that the menu there showed no prices, so ask before you order; another from September 2026 found the lake restaurant poor and dear.
Cash. Bring cash for the tickets and for lunch: cards are often not accepted at local restaurants and shops.
A camel ride at Ayaz-Kala costs extra on Islambek Travel & Hotels’ days and is not among the inclusions on Khiva Advanture’s.
Tips are not included on Khiva Advanture’s days.
Car or guide: which to pay for
The car day is the right buy if you will read up on the sites yourself and like an early start. If you want the history told to you at each wall, pay for a guide.

When the price changes
Khiva Advanture’s From price was a 10 percent promotion on 14 November 2026; on every later date we read the car cost US$99. The sunset trip showed a lower card price than the US$100 we read in the calendar for 8 December 2026 and 20 April 2027. The calendar price for your date and party is the one you pay, so read it there before you decide.
